Causes of Back Injury Pain

Back injury pain generally reflects nerve or muscle irritation or bone lesions. Sprains, strains, herniated discs, and fractured vertebrae are directly associated with back injury pain. Many of our daily activities such as working in the garden or playing sports can cause back injury and back injury pain. For example, back injury pain may occur if you strain your muscles by lifting a child or fracture one of your back bones while playing sports.

The cause of a back injury can be a single traumatic incident or an accumulation of a number of injuries. More often than not, a back injury is caused by a combination of a number of factors over a prolonged period of time. Many factors at work and home pose risk of back injury.
